Mr Gaga

From award-winning Israeli filmmaker Tomer Heymann (It Kinda Scares Me, Paper Dolls), Mr Gaga is the story of Israeli choreographer, Ohad Naharin. Widely considered an artistic genius and credited with redefining the language of modern dance, Naharin is the director of the world-famous Batsheva Dance company.

Arriving to this calling late in life, his work and his approach is heavily influenced by his upbringing in Israel, where cultures – contested, modern and ancient – coexist, along with his childhood on Kibbutz, where communal living shaped his world view. This documentary both examines and showcases Naharin’s body of work, with revealing interviews with dancers he has worked with.
